HyperCloudSoft · Singapore

Cloud consultancy for Singapore businesses.

Turn a migration or architecture requirement into a scoped project with clear dependencies, responsibilities and acceptance criteria.

Define the outcome before choosing the platform

Identify the business service you need to improve and the current limitations: availability, collaboration, access, operating cost or administration. List the people and systems affected, and separate essential requirements from optional changes.

Cloud consultancy can include migration and architecture scoping. A recommendation depends on the actual environment; the website does not establish a supported platform, project duration or fixed implementation fee.

Map dependencies and responsibilities

  • Applications, data, identities and integrations affected by the change.
  • Connectivity, devices and any on-premises systems that remain.
  • Administrator ownership, access requirements and the handover process.
  • Subscription, usage, implementation and ongoing support costs.
  • Testing, rollout sequence, rollback and business acceptance.

Coordinate telephony when it is part of the project

If the project includes business calling, confirm staff extensions, peak conversations, carrier service and number eligibility as separate requirements. An IT migration plan does not replace the carrier assessment.

Request a scoped discussion

Bring an overview of your systems, the intended outcome and target date. Do not send passwords or confidential data through a website enquiry. We confirm scope and commercial terms in a written quotation.

A practical cloud migration sequence

  1. Inventory. List users, devices, applications, shared drives, email domains and admin accounts. Note who owns each one.
  2. Classify. Decide what moves, what stays, and what can be retired. Old file shares often contain data nobody needs.
  3. Identity first. Make sure every user has a proper account and multi-factor authentication before data moves.
  4. Pilot. Move a small team first and fix the problems they find.
  5. Cutover. Move the rest over an agreed window, with a clear rollback plan.
  6. Clean-up. Remove old access, update documentation and confirm backups work.

Common pitfalls we help you avoid

  • Moving everything "as is", including permissions nobody understands.
  • Forgetting devices such as scanners, printers or door access that depend on old servers.
  • Paying for overlapping subscriptions during a long transition.
  • No named owner for admin accounts after the project ends.
  • Backups assumed rather than tested.

Example scopes

  • Small office, 15 users: move shared files and email, set up multi-factor sign-in, document admin ownership.
  • Growing company, two sites: consolidate file storage, review internet links at both sites, and move to a cloud phone system at the same time.
  • Cost review only: list cloud and telco subscriptions, flag unused licences and contract renewal dates.

Security basics that should come with any migration

  • Multi-factor authentication for all users, especially administrators.
  • Least-privilege access: staff see only what they need.
  • A tested backup and restore process.
  • A leaver process that removes access the same day.

Where telephony fits

If your phone system is moving too, plan it as its own workstream. Number porting depends on the carrier and is quoted case by case. See cloud PBX Singapore and the network readiness checklist.

Questions to ask before you approve a migration

  • Which data is moving, and what is being archived or deleted?
  • Who will hold the main administrator accounts afterwards?
  • How will staff sign in, and is multi-factor authentication required?
  • What is the rollback plan if the cutover has problems?
  • Which subscriptions end, and when, so you do not pay twice?
  • How will backups be checked after the move?

Clear answers to these questions are usually a better sign of a well-planned project than a long feature list.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a cloud migration take?

It depends on the number of users, the amount of data and how many systems are involved. We agree a schedule in the written proposal after scoping.

Can you migrate our phone system at the same time?

Yes, as a separate workstream. Porting and carrier work have their own dependencies, so we plan the dates together.

Do you need our passwords?

Not through the website. If administrative access is needed, we agree a secure method and remove access afterwards.

Can you review our cloud costs without a migration?

Yes. A cost review can be a standalone project: we list current subscriptions and contracts, flag unused or overlapping licences, and note renewal dates, then you decide what to change.

Find a phone-system plan

Three short questions. No contact details needed to see a recommendation.

External telco capacity is sized separately. We confirm exact capacity usage during scoping.
