Singapore business phone planning

Compare call-centre deployments by responsibility and workflow

Start with what your team must accomplish: how callers reach the right people, what happens when agents are busy and what supervisors need to review. Then compare the proposed deployments against those requirements. A deployment label alone does not establish the included contact-centre functions. Yeastar's client documentation notes PBX and administrator dependencies for relevant console features. Yeastar Web Client layout.

Put responsibilities in writing

In an on-premise design, the PBX runs on infrastructure at the business location or its chosen local data centre. A hosted/cloud design runs the PBX away from the office on hosting infrastructure. This changes where the system operates; it does not by itself decide who manages every component. Maintenance, backups, updates and incident response still need named owners in the service agreement. Questions to compare the proposals
AreaAsk both suppliers to document
InfrastructureWho owns, hosts, maintains and upgrades each component?
ConnectivityWhich routes do agents and callers depend on?
CapacityHow are users, simultaneous conversations and carrier channels sized?
ContinuityWhich interruptions are covered by the design and which need separate arrangements?
RecordingWho controls access, storage, retention and export?
IntegrationsWhich edition, accounts, permissions and implementation work are required?
SupportWho handles incidents involving several suppliers?
CostsWhat is recurring, one-time, usage-based or excluded?

Compare a representative busy period

Agree a test involving the workflows that matter to your team, such as receiving a call, transferring it, handling an unanswered call and reviewing the agreed outcome record. Use approved test data and actual intended endpoints. Record what is included in the demonstrated configuration so a successful demonstration is not mistaken for an entitlement in a different package.

Decide from the complete scope

Compare first-year and recurring costs with the same usage assumptions. Record the responsibilities your own team will retain and the work that is included in supplier support. Neither model is automatically the winner: the choice depends on the approved design, requirements, staffing and budget. Ask for unresolved items to be identified before committing.
